Shipping policy

Shipping and Import information:

I will do my best to ship orders within 2-3 days of receiving payment. Upon pick-up you will receive an email with the tracking number. Please note that all shipments valued at 1,000.00€ or more, and sent to destinations outside Germany, must be pre-approved for export by German customs. This procedure adds 48 hrs to the time before the package can be picked up by the courier.

All works are professionally packaged to ensure the art arrives to you in perfect condition. Full insurance is included. Small and medium works (with no dimension longer than 55 cm) will be shipped either flat-packed in heavyweight cardboard, or rolled in a heavy-duty cardboard tube, and shrink-wrapped to prevent water damage. 

Larger works that are longer than 55 cm on at least one side will be shipped rolled in heavy-duty cardboard tubes. Paintings on canvas will be shipped with the wooden stretcher bars in the tube. Flat shipping is much too expensive. You can either re-stretch the canvas yourself (it's quite easy, step-by-step instructions here) or you can have it done by your local framer. It shouldn't cost much and takes max. 30 minutes to do.

Documents certifying the shipment as an original work of art are provided; these allow for duty-free import into many countries. 

Any import duties that may be incurred are to be paid by the customer. I am not able to estimate import taxes. Please check with your local customs office.
